Join us on Thursday, March 17 from 12:00-1:00pm to celebrate our win and ask any questions you might have!

Thanks to your advocacy, our priority bill (HB 4005) and the Child Care Emergency Response Package were both passed in February 2022! Together, these bills will:

  • Provide $21 million for direct relief payments of $500 each to currently-working child care workers, one payment in 2022 and one in 2023

  • Invest $39.3 million to recruit and train new child care providers, and provide direct grants to expand existing facilities of all types

  • Direct $3.6 million to the Department of Early Learning & Care to make our public child care system more equitable and beneficial for parents and providers

A panel of experts from our coalition partners at Family Forward, APANO, Imagine Black, and Unite Oregon will be joined by the bill’s chief sponsor, Rep. Karin Power. They’ll explain the bill and budget package and there big benefits for parents and providers! We’ll have lots of time for questions, discussion, and celebrating this incredible victory.
