Help paying for child care
Employment Related Day Care (ERDC)
ERDC helps working parents, and parents in school, pay for child care for kids under 13. You may qualify if your income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level when you apply. What you pay depends on your family size and income, and it can't be more than 7% of your monthly income.
Most new families go on a waitlist right now. Apply anyway. Some families skip the list, including families on TANF, families referred by Child Welfare, and families reapplying within two months.
Already on the waitlist? Watch for letters from DELC and answer them by the deadline, or you could lose your spot.

Lawmakers listen to parents
The waitlist exists because the state hasn't funded enough care. When parents tell their stories, lawmakers find the money. In 2024 and 2026, they did.
